2012 2. German Research Award for Pain Research and Therapy (together with Michael Böttger, Johannes Leuchtweis, Manuela Schmidt).
1993 Research award of the company Aesculap in connection with the Association for Basic Research at the German Association for Orthopedics and Traumatology (together with Rüdiger Krauspe and Michael Schmidt).
