2018 International Osteopathic Symposium
Welcome to the 2018 ROE International Osteopathic Symposium “From Research to Clinical Practice in Osteopathy : an integrative view” organized by Registro de Osteópatas de España that will take place on 1st–3rd June 2018 at Círculo de Bellas Artes, Madrid (Spain)
The aim of this Symposium is to present and discuss New Scientific Research Concepts to allow osteopaths a improvement on their Clinical Approaches at the everyday practice.
A combination of conferences and practical workshops
We would also plan to discuss different ways of diagnosis classically used in osteopathy, in order to improve the skills of practitioners and promote a better treatments.
The Symposium will be a combination of keynote lectures and workshops, and should broadly focus on the following general topics and their implementation into clinical practice:
- Deep Somatic Pain.
- Visceral and Referred Pain.
- ANS and Fascia.
- Cranial Osteopathic Approach.
From the Organizing Committee we would like to offer a Symposium that shows the real situation of scientific reasearch on our Profession, and for that reason, we offer a excellent line-up of lecturers and keynote speakers.


We can now confirm keynote talks by: Prof. Dr. Wilfrid Jänig, Prof. Hans-Georg Schaible MD, Prof. Steven Tyreman DO, Dr. M. Kuchera DO , Christian Fossum DO MSc, Caroline Stone DO MSc, Jorge Esteves DO PhD, René Zweedijk DO, Torsten Liem DO MSc, Marie Odile Fessenmeyer DO and Gerard Alvarez DO MSc PhD student among others.
Our goal is to allow all participants to learn new concepts about the functioning of the somatic and visceral body tissues and their neural control, as well as the implications of these concepts for clinical practice.
We also plan to promote and improve proper diagnosis in osteopathy.
The main scientific ideas will be presented in the keynote lectures and expanded in the workshops with the participants in an interactive way.
Scientific concepts will be presented on the morning sessions (lectures) and will then be completed on the after-lunch workshops on a interactive way with participants. Workshops will be on Friday and Saturday. Each day we’ll offer 4 workshops (see PROGRAM for further information). Participants with Full Access Pass will be able to register at 2 workshops (one Friday and another on Saturday). Workshop registration will be arranged according to order of arrival of the petition forms.
Full access to the Symposium
Allows access to morning lectures at Sala de las Columnas (Aula Magna) plus 2 workshops. Does include lunch (fingerfood at Círculo de Bellas Artes) on Friday and Saturday and also coffee breaks
Streaming access to the Symposium
Streaming access to the Symposium will be provided for those that cannot travel to Madrid. The Streaming Pass offers you LIVE access to the morning keynote talks offered at Sala de las Columnas (Aula Magna) on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Lectures via Streaming will not be translated to Spanish.
Gala Dinner: Will take place on Saturday evening at the amazing terrace of Hotel ME Reina Victoria (Plaza Sta. Ana, 14, 28012 Madrid). An extraordinary location with wonderful and exclusive views of Madrid. The price of the Gala Dinner is not included on the Full Pass. We strongly reccomend you to come to the dinner, as it will be the perfect place for exchanging experiences with other participants on a relaxed atmosphere.
